As we all know, the track roller of a bulldozer is more vicious than the excavator as it supports the bulldozer to walk constantly, and the running ratio (the ratio of the running time of the track roller to the running time of the main engine) is 10 times to 20 times higher than that of excavator, so its requirements for quality are higher and the structure is generally different from that of the excavator.
We analysis simply from the point of material process, mainly about there major pieces, wheel body, cover, ball iron knot, internal bushing, axle, floating oil seal.
(1) roller body: the material is 40Mn2 round steel, heat treatment for the overall heating surface quenching, many manufacturers use 45 steel or 50Mn billet forging as materials and intermediate frequency treatment.
(2) wheel axle: the original factory use 50Mn material and quenching treatment, but some cheap products were used 45 steel surface medium frequency without quenching treatment.
(3)The original factory use QT45-10 to craft the ball iron knot, and use copper alloy bimetal to craft internal bushing.The cheap products to downgraded materials to HT250 and bushing using zinc aluminum alloy in order to reduce costs.
(4)Floating seal components: the high-end take seal material is 15Cr3Mo, the working life is 5000 hours minimum, and the low-end products reduce the alloy elements, mostly use15Cr1Mo materials to reduce costs.
